Polperro

Polperro is a small, quaint, fishing port and is usually over-run with tourists. From the car park, it’s a ten minute stroll down the main street (with it’s abundance of gift shops and cafes) to the miniscule harbour where the tightly packed houses rise on each side of the harbour. Little has changed since it’s heyday of smuggling and pilchard fishing.

To be honest I was looking forward to seeing it so much but I was disappointed, I thought it was scruffy, the tide was out and a large crane and platform seems to have set up residence just outside the entrance to the harbour and spoils any chance of taking a decent photograph!
