Scaleber Force

Scaleber Force is an impressive waterfall about one and a quarter miles from Settle. It's about 60 feet high and is just off the Settle to Kirkby Malham road in a wooded dell. The footpath leads down through the wood to the falls below. If you branch off the main path a vague path will take you down steeply to the foot of the falls and bring you nearer to the water's edge. As well as the main fall the water tumbles over a series of smaller falls making these falls one of the easiest and most accessible falls to photograph. I have been here several times in the past and it looks particularly good in autumn when fallen leaves swirl about on the surface of the pools of water giving added colour.
