Cornwall 2017

I had a week in South East Cornwall, staying in the sleepy seaside village of Cawsand with Kingsand only a stone's throw away. The two villages are just across the bay from Plymouth on the Rame Peninsula. The Devon/Cornwall border used to separate the two villages but now Cornwall is defined as being over the Tamar River and Bridge from Plymouth. Cawsand has a charming little square above it's small beach and from here you can walk through the narrow car-less streets to Kingsand only about 5 minutes walk away, through light and shade and past a grand clock tower. Explore the narrow alleyways and flights of steps that sidle to and fro above the rocky shoreline. The two villages have a couple of shops and 4 pubs between them and is totally unspoilt and uncommercialised, the villages being often overlooked as there are only minor roads to gain access to them and people pass by to more popular places.
